Am 13. Juni erhielten wir an der HHS hohen Besuch. Hon. Minister Deepak Kesarkar, Bildungsminister der baden-württembergischen Partnerregion Maharashtra, wollte sich vor Ort ein Bild vom dualen Ausbildungssystem im Elektrohandwerk und in den IT-Berufen machen. Der großen Begleit-Delegation von 16 Personen konnte unser Schulleiter Andreas Hörner aus erster Hand berichten, wie die Aufgaben der verschiedenen Dualpartner ineinandergreifen und auf welch lange Tradition die duale Berufsausbildung beruht. Besonderes Interesse weckte die sogenannte “Lernfeldkonzeption”, die die zu vermittelnden Inhalte in betriebliche Handlungssituation überträgt und eine didaktische Reduktion durch die Lehrkraft erfordert.
Nach einer interessanten Austauschrunde, bei der auch der Geschäftsführer der Kreishandwerkerschaft, Andreas Reifsteck, als Vertreter der betrieblichen Seite des dualen Systems teilnahm, führten unsere beiden Abteilungsleiter, Reimar Toepell und Michael Spanger, die Gäste durch unsere Fachräume. Dank der umfassenden Sanierung und Erweiterung der Schule durch unseren Schulträger, die Stadt Karlsruhe, konnten wir Unterrichtsräume auf modernstem und höchstem Niveau präsentieren. Unsere Gäste waren nachhaltig beeindruckt und haben den Besuch als sehr “erleuchtend” bezeichnet.
Gerne freuen sich die Schulleitung und die Lehrkräfte über einen weiteren Austausch mit unseren indischen Partnern. Ein lebendiger Austausch – sowohl auf wirtschaftlicher Ebene als auch auf der Bildungsebene – kann für beide Länder sehr bereichernd sein.

On 13 June, we received a distinguished visitor at HHS. Honorable Minister Deepak Kesarkar, Minister of Education of Baden-Württemberg’s partner region Maharashtra, wanted to get a first-hand impression of the dual training system in the electrical craftswork and ICT professions. Our principal, Andreas Hörner, was able to give the large accompanying delegation of 16 people a first-hand account of how the tasks of the various dual partners are interlinked and of the long tradition of dual vocational training. The so-called “learning field concept”, which transfers the content to be taught into operational situations and requires didactic reduction by the teacher, aroused particular interest.
After an interesting round of discussions, in which the Managing Director of the District Crafts Association, Andreas Reifsteck, also took part as a representative of the company side of the dual system, our two department heads, Reimar Toepell and Michael Spanger, gave the guests a tour of our laboratories and workshops. Thanks to the extensive refurbishment and expansion of the school by our school authority, the City of Karlsruhe, we were able to present classrooms of the highest and most modern standard. Our guests were deeply impressed and described the visit as very “enlightening”.
The school management and teaching staff are looking forward to a further exchange with our Indian partners. A lively exchange – both on an economic and educational level – can be very enriching for both countries.
